Isle of Skye Top 5

Faerie Glen

On the West side of Trotternish at Balnacnoc above Uig, is the Fairy Glen.

The road winds around small round-topped grassy hills with ponds in between which gives the glen an otherworldly feel.

The Cullin

One of the most impressive mountain ranges in the UK, the Cullin are made up of red (lower and less rocky) and black and can be viewed from plenty of spots around Skye including the Fairy Pools and The Sligachan Hotel.

Claigan Coral Beach

A gem of a beach located in a slightly unsuspecting location, the Claigan coral beach is a must visit for anyone spending time on the Isle of Skye.

Quiraing

With incredible views over the island and of the Scottish mainland, Quiraing is a popular attraction for many visitors to Skye. The impressive rock formation is accessible by a short walk and has some of the best views in the UK.

Boat Trip to Loch Coruisk

Our personal favourite on the Isle of Skye is the boat trip from Elgol to Loch Coruisk. A short boat trip not only gives you stunning views of the Cullin but also the chance to see plenty of marine wildlife including a colony of seals. Once at the Loch you have around two hours to explore and on certain days you may be the only people for miles around, right in the heart of the Cullins.
