Italy’s strong suit is football with lots of fantastic rugby and plenty of hockey and tennis. Surprisingly, there are also some great golf.
If you’re keen to try to see a Serie A football match or an Italy home Six Nations rugby match, you might want to concentrate on Rome and move northwards for the rest of your tour.
If you’re lucky enough to find availability, you can enjoy watching Roma or Lazio play football at home. For rugby tourists, there is so much choice of destinations in addtion to Rome, such as Rimini, Padua (near Venice), the Florence region, Milan, Genoa and so on. You might consider continuing into the South of France for a longer tour, flying into Rome and out of Paris.

If you want a quick, two-centre tour, which takes in the main attractions of the capital city and some of the world’s greatest culture, we’d recommend:
- 4 days
- 3 nights
- 2 fixtures
- Post match hospitality
- City tour of Rome or Florence
- Serie A football match
Of course there is a great deal more to Italy. If you’d prefer a longer stay, there is plenty left to explore. Football is played everywhere and rugby predominantly from Rome northwards. Pick your region and we’ll do the rest.
