Baltics

The Baltics, comprising Estonia, Latvia, and Lithuania, form a captivating trio of countries nestled along the northeastern coast of Europe. Picture dense forests, pristine lakes, and charming medieval towns.

Head to Riga, Latvia, where Art Nouveau buildings line the streets. Explore the bustling Central Market and soak in the vibrant arts scene. Finally, Vilnius, Lithuania’s capital, surprises with its baroque churches and bohemian Užupis district. Climb the Gediminas Tower for panoramic views.

The Baltics celebrate their heritage through song and dance festivals. Imagine thousands of voices harmonizing in open fields, celebrating unity and pride.  As you explore, savor traditional dishes like cepelinai (potato dumplings) and hearty rye bread. Visit local markets to experience authentic flavors and connect with friendly locals.

Beyond the cities, the Baltic Sea coastline beckons. Explore the Curonian Spit, a unique sand dune peninsula shared by Lithuania and Russia. Here, shifting sands create an otherworldly landscape. Hike through pine forests, spot migratory birds, and breathe in the salty sea air. Venture to the coastal towns of Pärnu (Estonia) and Liepāja (Latvia) for laid-back vibes and sandy beaches.

Whether you’re wandering ancient streets or gazing at the Baltic sunset, this region promises adventure, culture, and unforgettable memories for student travelers.
